

A clinical research study for people who have or are at risk for heart disease, stroke, or peripheral artery disease
ACCLAIM-Lp(a) is a clinical research study for people who have or are at risk for heart disease, stroke, or peripheral artery disease.
Lipoprotein(a) is also known as Lp(a). Lp(a) carries cholesterol (a type of fat) in the blood. If you have a high level of Lp(a), you may have a higher risk of heart disease, stroke, or peripheral artery disease. This study will test if the investigational medicine (medicine being studied) may lower levels of lipoprotein(a) in the blood.


Can I join this study?
Yes, you may be eligible to join the research study if you have a high level of Lp(a) in your blood and:

Are age 55 years or older and have certain risk factors for heart disease or stroke
OR
-
Are age 18 years or older and already have heart disease or have had a stroke.

Most people do not know how much Lp(a) is in their blood.The study team will check the level of Lp(a) in all potential participants
